June 6-July 17: “Searching for Clarity”, four abstract artists remind us of how we navigate through life’s confusion, seeking meaning. Karin Aggeler paints with acrylic on canvas to express forms and landscapes, memories and moods to reflect and embrace the experiences and visions of the viewer. Photographer Richard Chow crafts a style that melds technical precision with compelling interpretative content to invoke a cognitive emotional connection. The simplistic imagery in Bruce Dean’s current series of spheres, conjunctions, and eclipses uses mixed media on paper to tap into the memories and ideas we all share at a subconscious level. Gold leaf and oil on layers of Plexiglas is the ideal medium for obscuring and revealing as Valerie Mendez invites the viewer to look closer and deeper, through to the bottom of things. |
