Gallery Description:
A community art center that presents the work of living artists working in all media, and addressing a wide range of concerns, in order to create a climate of experimentation, education and expression.

Showing:
Through August 31: “Ground Us”, we live in a sprawling environment with constant development of concrete encroaching on our natural space. Kiel Johnson, Lucrecia Troncoso and P. Williams will use everyday materials such as cardboard, wood, paper and sponges to create their ideal utopia. The three large scale site-specific installations will amuse, engage and imagine a new and improved world.
Through September 9: “Plein Air Festival”, the fourth annual Festival features artworks by more than 35 artists, this invitational celebrates the natural beauty of Huntington Beach, and benefits the Center’s exhibition and education programs.
September 12-21: “Plein Air Painters”, selected paintings by the “Plein Air Festival” participants.

Special Events:
September 12, 6-9pm: Preview Reception and Wine Tasting.
September 13, 10am-4pm: Painting in the Streets, event designed for the public to view the artists at work while they paint in the first 2 blocks of Main St.
