Artist
The new Zak Images Gallery in Silverlake will open in May with "Glam Men Sampler," featuring the work of photographer Fred Pyrczak. Using glamorization techniques usually reserved for portraits of women, the photographer has glamorized the images of men to bring out their masculine beauty. (After all, why should women get all the attention?)
Work
The show features samples from various folios under development by the photographer. One of the most popular folios is "Sizzling Men." The dramatic photos in this folio were created by having the models burn their wardrobes with a torch, don the burned clothes, and dive into the swimming pool at the photographer's studio.
Other folios in the show include: "Boxing: Men with a Punch," "Trench Coats: Sensual Flashing," and "Musical Models."
