Sculpture by jd hansen
Each sculpture is based on a strong, initial concept that is deeply personal. It is defined and focused through extensive writing, but no sketching. jd hansen takes that initial concept and builds upon it, creating a piece that is emotional, but subdued. The piece is built up, then slowly stripped of anything that isn't necessary, revealing the primitive essence of the subject. The pieces are sculpted in hot wax over metal armature, then cast into bronze.
Paintings by David Warren Gibson
The bold strength, simplicity, richness and subtlety of his work are the result of painting and re-painting, reflection and change. Identifying these basic components and their interactions are the inspiration for David’s' art. Discovering the exciting relationships between space and shapes and how they interact with each other to create a harmonious composition is his specialty. His sculpturesque paintings feature a solid, sensual quality of organic shapes and a substantial earthy nature.
