George Stern Fine Arts is proud to announce BEGINNING COLLECTOR, a survey of paintings by the early California Impressionists.  The exhibition highlights an outstanding collection of paintings that have been carefully selected for the beginning connoisseur to serve as an introduction to the California masters and to the fine art of collecting.  

For over 30 years, George Stern Fine Arts has specialized in 19th and 20th Century American art, emphasizing the early California Impressionists, American Scene Painters, and Modernists.  Our extensive inventory of over 500 paintings range in price from $2,500.00 to half a million dollars.  

BEGINNING COLLECTOR will feature works by some of the most important Early California artists including: Dana Bartlett, Theresa Bernstein, George Brandriff, Alson Clark, Frank Coburn, Francisco Cornejo, Gordon Coutts, Esther Crawford, Theodore Criley, Phil Dike, Angel Espoy, Grigory Gluckmann, William Griffith, Paul Grimm, Sam Hyde Harris, Boza Hessova, Anna Hills, Clarence Hinkle, Emil Kosa, Jr., Jean Mannheim, Francis Mc Comas, Frank Moore, Peter Nielsen, Hanson Puthuff, Joseph Morris Raphael, Millard Sheets, Dedrick Stuber, and others.
