Opening Night Gala for LACMA kicks off weekend of events for LAs largest art fair.
Area museums, juried show and special exhibits create community celebration
WHO:
Art lovers, collectors, and those looking to be inspired join the nations top art galleries in a weekend celebrating fine art.
WHAT:
The 10TH annual LOS ANGELES ART SHOWSouthern Californias largest annual art fair. Presented by the Fine Art Dealers Association.
WHY:
The Los Angeles Art Show is considered one of the most prestigious annual expositions in the United States. Over 10,000 attendees will experience $50 million worth of fine art from fifty-five of the worlds best art and photography dealers showing vetted, collectable work from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, promising something for everyonefrom the beginning to the advanced collector.
Will also feature:
- On site presence from numerous museums and media.
- Juried show featuring work of artists from The Brewery, the worlds largest art colony.
- Symposium Series featuring prominent art historians, interior designers and notable collectors.
- Vignettes showcasing the pairing of art and furniture.
- Site specific installations; including a lightpainting by artist Stephen Knapp.
