The Sims: In the Hands of the Artists features works inspired by one of the world’s most popular games, The Sims. The exhibition showcases student work produced for a competition held jointly by Electronic Arts, the creators of The Sims, and Otis College of Art and Design. Using The Sims as a creative toolbox, including The Sims movie-making tool Machinima, Otis’ talented students created video pieces, stills, and art objects that extend beyond the virtual world. Sponsored by Ford.
Perspectives in the Crowd is organized by the Ben Maltz Gallery at Otis College of Art and Design and Alumnus Tucker Neel (’07), Guest Curator of the exhibition, the exhibition features over 50 short films projected larger than life by DIY documentarians found on YouTube.
Founded in 1918, Otis College of Art and Design prepares diverse students of art and design to enrich our world through their creativity, their skill, and their vision.
