East/West Gallery is pleased to announce SB/ART: The View from HERE, a survey of contemporary art in Santa Barbara.
Artists include: Rick Aber, Cayetana Conrad, Roger Eberhard, Fred Gowland, Hugh Margerum, Wayne & Penny McCall, Matt Moore, Christopher Pilafian, John Patrick Salisbury, and Nancy Yaki.
The show is an investigation of perception and perspective, focusing on both the internal and external "views" of art and artists in the region.
By showing three dimensional panel photographs, installation pieces, and sculptural paintings, the exhibition both defies and embraces our expectations of representational art and the break-down of traditional media in portraying an individual point of view.
As part of the “Art for Activism” series, 10% of all profits from the exhibition will be donated to The Arts Fund, Santa Barbara.
